Digital Place-based Advertising Association (DPAA) Announces Three New Members

New York, NY [February 28th] – The Digital Place-based Advertising Association announced today that rVue, Inc., Akoo, and The Wellness Network [formerly Interactivation Health Networks] have recently joined the association.

rVue, Inc.,an advertising technology solutions company with a core focus on providing scalable solutions that advance the growth of digital media. Led by CEO and respected DOOH pioneer Jason M. Kates, rVue provides the comprehensive demand-side marketplace for digital place-based media that connects buyers and sellers (digital networks) together in one robust platform to accelerate the targeting, planning, purchasing and analytics of Digital Place-based Media..

The Wellness Network owns and operates The Newborn Channel and The Patient Channel. The Channels are available 24/7, in over 2,500 hospitals nationwide delivering original, award-winning, professionally endorsed content to health-conscious consumers when and where they need it most. Broadcast directly to the patient’s room, these networks provide advertisers with unparalleled access to their target consumer in a highly-trusted environment that drives consumer action. The Newborn Channel broadcasts baby care and parenting content, reaching 60% of new moms annually.  The Patient Channel reaches over 20 million patients and their caregivers annually with both preventative health and condition-specific programming.

Akoo is the largest social television network in America, delivering entertainment programming to more than 90 million high-value consumers each month in 161 of the nation’s premier shopping malls. Akoo is available in central food courts – the most highly trafficked seating environments in malls – where affluent, active shoppers are immersed in the Akoo experience for an average of 30 minutes and have the ability to immediately act on retail transaction opportunities discovered on the network. Akoo’s patented interactive technology enables viewers to request on-demand content via mobile app, web app, or text messaging, resulting in unequalled consumer engagement and advertising effectiveness. Akoo’s connection with the media-elusive 18-24 year-old demographic is further strengthened by its rapidly growing network across top U.S. colleges and universities.

“We are exited to welcome Akoo, rVue and The Wellness Network to DPAA.” said Susan Danaher, President of the Digital Place-based Advertising Association. “Their diverse experience and knowledge in this nascent industry will greatly contribute in helping to grow the Digital Place-based Media sector.”
