Vyoma Media to Show Real Time Information for Passengers in Association with BMTC
Vyoma Media’s software will power BMTC’S Passenger Information System for all the major bus depots
12th January 2018, Bengaluru: Vyoma Media, the country's leading out of home digital solutions company, in a first of its kind initiative with Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation's (BMTC) has revamped a platform to display real time bus information across 35 intelligent screens in 11 major bus depots across the city.
Using their existing in-house developed platform, Vyoma Media Controller (VMC), Vyoma Media was tasked by BMTC to redefine and update the User Interface (UI) of the existing screens resulting in traveller ease, improvement in real time information updates and overall space optimization.
Speaking about the association, Shriranga Sudhakara, Founder and MD, Vyoma Media commented "We're extremely proud to be associated with the BMTC and the Corporation's efforts to improve passenger information at major bus depots in Bangalore. Our technology will not only make real-time information such as weather and bus updates visible but also make the entire journey easy to understand and more interactive for the everyday passenger. All the displays will be monitored on a real-time basis and at the next stage we will bring in our analytics engine to optimise this information."
Apart from real time weather updates and bus schedule, the intelligent screens have reduced the load on the media player by 80% and reduced electricity consumption by 140% because of space optimization. The screens are connected to the cloud based application and has reduced system errors and now ensure 100% real time travel information which will be displayed 24x7.
